The OYA Center for Writing and Civic Engagement was created with you in mind. OYA provides Black girls and women with opportunities to broaden their exposure to new communities and rich personal development opportunities through culturally sustaining programs focused on writing, advocacy and outreach, and civic action training programs. More importantly, we offer a space for us to just be...us. We are a creating a community of learners, educators, doers, healers, and travelers who are committed to lifting each other's voices, increasing our civic consciousness, and serving our communities both at home and abroad.
